-I Abhor going to the dentist because it only means trouble.
-I Abhor my family because all they do is fight.
2. Bigot- Narrow minded, prejudice person.
-Hitler was both a bigot and insane.

3. Counterfeit- fake, False
-Not all counterfeit bills are easy to spot, some are very well made.
-It was obvious that the hundred dollar bill was counterfeit because it had an abraham lincoln picture on the front.
4. Noxious- Harmful; poisonous; lethal
-the venom of a vampire is noxious but if can bring eternal life to those who do not die from the bite
-My brothers farts are noxious after we eat mexican food for dinner.
5. Placid- Calm; peaceful
-Lake placid was a very poorly made movie.
- When all seems placid beware the storm is coming.
6. Talisman-Lucky Charm
-A rabbits foot is considered to be a talisman of good luck.
-Some other things that people hink are talismen are vudoo dolls, rocks, chins, four leaf clovers, horse shoes, and many more.
7. Aberration- Different from what is normal, desirable, or expected.
- The dog eatting johnny's homework was an aberration, however he still got a zero for the assignment.
- The Aberrations that some people expeirience aren't real, they are hilusinations.
8. Accentuate- to make a featureof something more noticeable; to emphasize
-The bite markson johnny's neck accentuate the fact that there had been many "animal attacks" in the area.

antown fisher
1. Antwon gets into a lot of fights. do you think that he fights because people have made him angry or he is angry already?
-i think Antwone is already angery.
2. When Antwon first goes to see the therapist, he is very vague with information about his background. Why would he not just come out with all his history? Is he hiding something? How is Antwon different or the same as Melinda sordino in speak?
-Yes, he probably is hiding something. Somthing is obviously bugging him, something from his childhood.
3. Why does antwon say that he should just go to the brig? how would that be easier for him than the alternative that he is givin?
-Becasue going to the brig is apperently better than brining up things about his past.
4. When his shipmates are talking about going home for the holiday, antwon ignores the question. why?
-He does not want to tell them that he has no family.
5. Durring the thanksgiving dinner and the doctors house, antwon is put in an awkward situation when the doctors father asks him a question. why was it awkward for him?
-It's awkward for Antwone because he never had a real family, nor a real thanksgiving with his parents of any kind.
6. The doctor at one point says that forgiveness is a way of freeing yourself. do you agree? Talk about Antwan and Melinda in terms of forgiving themselves. What would they be forgiving themselves for? Why?
-To beome free from their past they must first forgive themselves. they would forgive themselves for not opening up earlier or for not telling anyone.

- Mr. Griffin is Strict and hard on his students

- Becasue sometimes students get mad or upset with the teacher that is failing them and are sometimes over dramatic

5. David likes a challenge. Mark knows too much about David Ruggles.
6. First of all shes not one of them or their group secondly shes passing the class and thirdly shes a teacher's pet, no one would ever suspect her.
7. It was when susan and David met way back in middle school and the humiliation that david expirienced.
8. He was very observitive. He memorized the techers roll call, he set a cat on fire, and he had a special beauty, something too strange to explain.

1. David is the son. The grandmais old and acts bed-ridden but is really fine. the mom is a secratary and doest want to re- marry. their dad left them when david was young.
2. Becasue he wants to get into a good college and he wants to be able to support his family.
3. There is no light and everything is in plastic and is sterle
4. True. He goes along with the plan becasue he does not want to fail. that class is the last thing between him and a better life.
